Get to Know Dr. Theodora
ABOUT ME
I am uniquely positioned to serve clients with a comprehensive view of health because of my firsthand knowledge of the pharmaceutical/ medical, fitness, and holistic wellness industries.
Hi, I'm Dr. Theodora! But, you can call me Thea. I want to be your health coach!
As a pharmacist, former fitness competitor and instructor, and now a functional medicine specialist, I believe I have a unique and comprehensive perspective on your health. I am able to pull information from all of my past experiences to create a customized nutrition, lifestyle, and supplement plan that will make the biggest impact in your health right now.
Prior to becoming a functional medicine specialist, I was a pharmacist and pharmacy manager for a large retail chain pharmacy. After working for this company for 14 years and ranking at the top of my district for the last 3 of them, I quit due to extreme burnout and no longer feeling aligned with my profession. From my perspective, I observed that many pharmacy customers with potentially reversible illnesses never got better. I believe that the pharmaceutical/medical industry lacks a proactive and holistic approach to treating and preventing illnesses in people.
Additionally, as a novice bodybuilding champion, personal trainer, and nutrition coach, I understand firsthand that the fitness industry also lacks knowledge regarding people's health and wellbeing. Many fitness professionals and bodybuilding athletes end up doing more harm than good over time to their minds and bodies in an effort to achieve a certain look.
I am particularly passionate about mental and brain health because I suffered poor mental health and cognitive function due to the burnout I experienced during my pharmacy and fitness careers.
When you feel your best, you are unstoppable. I ultimately want you to start consciously creating a life you can be content with.♥️ That is why I created Omen Wellness. Because I know how easy it can be to lose your mental health and be a victim of your circumstances. When symptoms like low energy, depression, anxiety, attention-deficit and brain fog become your everyday normal, it's time to look deeper. Too often people with such symptoms go into their doctor's office with these complaints only to come out with a prescription medication. There is a time and a place for prescription medication, however, I believe that doing some alternative tests and examining your currently lifestyle should also be considered. What are you eating? Do you have any nutritional deficiencies? Do you have an accumulation of toxins in your body? How much physical activity are you getting? Do you feel a sense of purpose in your life? Do you have authentic connections with other humans? Symptoms are like omens. If they cause you to be proactive with your health they can be a good thing. However, if you are constantly ignoring them, then symptoms can become bad omens. When problems are ignored for too long, they can often snowball into serious illness.
With each program I offer, something different about you will be revealed. It is like putting together the puzzle pieces of your life. The more you can learn about yourself, the more you will understand what is going on and what needs to change in order for you to feel your best. In other words, the more you know about yourself, the more leverage you have in getting yourself to where you want to be.
